Quick update
Nothing too exciting has been happening, just life plodding along as per usual.
I started uni on monday, had two lectures (both two hours long) and would normally have a tutorial as well but not in the first week.
I really thought that we would ease into things by having a quick info session and then starting properly at the next lecture but we launched straight into things.
We pretty much went through all of chapter 1 of both Chemistry and maths in the first lectures as well as having homework questions to work through.
I have also been told that anyone that misses a lecture will more than likely fail because these lecturers will not give out lecture notes, fair enough really.
So, I decided to keep that fact that I would be missing next monday because of Mardi Gras to myself.
So things have worked out that I will only be able to do two subjects this semester (really high contact hours), I have a full day of uni on Mondays, a night time prac or tutorial on Tuesday, a one hour lecture in the middle of the day for both wednesday and thursday.
The biggest drama for me is that I will have to use Brisbanes POXY public transport.
Ew, I caught one on Monday and sat myself next to the most savory one. BIG Mistake.
He may have been wearing a suit a reading his file but he was a sniffling, snorting flu machine, revolting.
But I have worked out how to hold the handle with the smallest possible physical contact. Just the little finger. noice.
The other thing that is happening at the moment is MARDI GRAS.
Should be a blast. We have our outfits all organised, down to white hats, braces and shoes. Our small purple shorts and bikini tops.
We are all getting spray tanned on the morning and then covering ourselves in glitter. I figure if I am only going to Mardi Gras once, I should make it a BIG one.
We are staying with Alex and his girlfriend in Sydney (I used to live with Alex in that massive house with Toby, he is the guy in the band), so it should be a blast.
Geoff, Flick, Toby and I fly down tomorrow morning and will hang out for a couple of days before getting back to brisbane on Monday afternoon. should be really good.
I will update once we get back.
Besides that Amanda and Sammy made it back from their o'seas adventure on Monday. Almost recovered from their jet lag.
Vinnie also got from Cambodia on the weekend, he got me an awesome set of trays as a thank you. The silly boy was going to travel through Cambodia and Vietnam with a suitcase. Seems my backpack keeps paying for itself.
Well, hope that updates you a little. There will be more to come after the weekend.
The other thing, I finally collected my car after it had been in to get the hail damage repaired.
I scored a free windscreen with the repairs as well as having the bat shit repaired for nothing. Not sure if that was a mistake on their behalf but I have heard nothing further from them and am quite happy not to.
Finally a win for me.
Hooray.
More to come after the weekend
